Model/Actriz came to Los Angeles on October 3, 2025 for a sold-out performance at the Fonda Theatre, bringing the raw intensity and artful chaos that define their live shows. Touring in support of their second album Pirouettes, the band delivered a set that transformed their songs into a show that was loud, dark, and physical.

Sometimes the group’s mix of post-punk and industrial noise can feel combative, but at The Fonda it became communal. The show opened with “Vespers,” and set up the night’s energy as larger-than-life frontperson Cole Haden climbed onto the short balcony next to the stage and sang dramatically amongst the curtains while draped in his own posh smock. The theatrical intro kicked the show off in dramatic fashion, turning the Fonda into something in between a dance club and a séance.

Through the night and over a 12-song set we heard and felt mechanical, hypnotic beats from favorites likes “Diva,” “Amaranth,” “Acid,” and the night’s closer, “Pure Mode.” A few crowd surfers were tossed toward the stage, and the crowd looked like it was moving as one organism in time with the music. Haden’s performance was enhanced by several costume changes, each one adding a layer of spectacle to the night’s physical and spiritual energy.

By the time the band played “Cinderella,” the room was ready to burst. The energy was part catharsis and part celebration as the audience gave in to the noise. For a band often described as confrontational, Model/Actriz’s performance at the Fonda proved they’re equally capable of creating connection.

Model/Actriz continues touring through North America through mid-October and then hops across the pond for more dates. See them where you can, and check out modelactriz.com for all the latest news, tour, and ticket information.
