Outside Lands Day 2 brought a packed mix of indie, alternative, electronic and pop acts across the festival’s stages, with many big name artists playing throughout the day.

At Lands End, the lineup moved from Bandalos Chinos and Haute & Freddy through Audrey Hobert, Lucy Dacus, Ethel Cain and Djo before The Strokes closed out the stage. Twin Peaks offered a strong alternative lineup of its own, featuring Red Leather, After, Laszewo, Malcolm Todd and Dijon before The xx took over for the night’s closing set.

Over at Sutro, the day included Rio Kosta, Wunderhorse, Sienna Spiro, Yard Act, Snow Strippers, It’s murph and PinkPantheress. Panhandle featured Ryman, Racing Mount Pleasant, Ally Evenson, Automatic and Silvana Estrada before DJ Trixie Mattel closed the stage.

Electronic music was well represented at SOMA, where Bad Juuju, 1-800 Girls, Camoufly, Sultan + Shepard and Ben Böhmer led into a closing set from Lane 8. Dolores offered a more eclectic party atmosphere throughout the day, while Duboce Triangle featured DJ and smaller-stage sets from artists including Tycho, Bandalos Chinos, Racing Mount Pleasant, Rio Kosta, Laszewo and Bad Juuju.

The biggest evening events came down to The Strokes at Lands End, The xx at Twin Peaks, and PinkPantheress at Sutro, with Djo, Dijon and Lane 8 also drawing big crowds. With so many strong acts playing at the same time, Day 2 gave festivalgoers plenty of reasons to split their time between stages.

Stay tuned for day 3 and keep having fun!
