SG Lewis came to The Shrine Auditorium on October 10, 2025 on his Anemoia tour and brought an infectious smiling energy that rippled through the crowd and set the scene for a night of sweaty singing and dancing that didn’t let up until the final bars of “Lifetime” rang out.

Samuel George Lewis is a special fellow, a 31-year-old Brit born in the shadow of the Reading Festival who got started early on Soundcloud and hit his stride fast, working with top collaborators from around the world like Dua Lipa, Lany, Raye, Victoria Monet, Robyn, and one of the evening’s special on-stage guests, Tove Lo. He gets high marks in part because he looks like he’s in love with what he’s doing, and just one example of that is how when he took the stage, he went right to the mic to sing “Back of My Mind,” smiling at his barricade-mashed fervent fans, standing front and center stage to connect with the crowd rather than DJ-ing in the back to start the night.

The evening saw several guest singers take the stage in addition to Tove Lo. RAHH came out to sing four songs throughout the evening, including “Transition” and “Aura,” and then TEED came out to sing “Devotion” halfway through, and then Tove Lo came onstage to end the pre-encore part of the night with “Heat.” We got a special tour remix of club favorite “Impact,” and all in all 20+ songs were played, and the show ended with hits “Baby Blue” and “Lifetime.”

The visuals behind Lewis were good, not too fancy, just complimentary to the set, no pyro, so the music really got to do the work, and the crowd’s energy was 10/10 so it was clear nobody needed Illenium-style stage fire to have a good time. Earlier in the night Sofia Kourtesis opened the show with a great DJ set and got the crowd energized and ready for the main attraction.

The “Anemonia” in the Anemonia Tour means to long for an idealized past that doesn’t exist, which feels ironic on the surface because I don’t think anybody at The Shrine show was wishing for a second that they were anywhere except right where they were.

SG Lewis’s 2025 world tour continues with North America stops in San Francisco and Denver later this month before he heads to Europe. For all the latest news, tour, and ticket info, check out sglewis.komi.io and @sglewis.
