Violet Grohl made her San Francisco debut at the Rickshaw Stop on October 27, 2026, with Suzy Clue opening the night. Her Be Sweet to Me tour follows the release of her debut album of the same name back in May.
Her music draws influence from some of her ’90s idols, including The Breeders, Sonic Youth, and Ween, though you can’t help but hear a little Nirvana and Foo Fighters sprinkled into a few of the tracks.
While her vocals sounded fantastic live, Violet’s stage presence was noticeably reserved. With both hands wrapped around the microphone and her eyes closed for nearly the entire set, she rarely moved from her spot or acknowledged the crowd. She seemed more immersed in the music than interested in connecting with the audience, giving the performance an almost introspective feel. Whether it was nerves from her first headlining tour or simply her preferred way of performing, it will be interesting to see how her stage presence evolves as she gains more experience.
San Francisco was one of the final stops on her first U.S. tour before heading overseas for a handful of European dates. For all the latest news and info check out www.violetgrohl.com
