Tori Amos brought her one of a kind show to the Greek Theater in Los Angeles on August 25, 2026, and the crowd received her with tears and open arms.

Tori’s fans are legion, and many go back decades. Some meet up at shows, some travel together from show to show, and I’d lay money that all of them have a story about how meaningful Tori’s music has been to them in their lives.

With a touring drummer, guitarist, and three backup singers (the “Angel Witches”), plus Tori splitting time between her iconic Bosendorfer piano and electronic keyboards, the band’s sound wrapped everyone in the outdoor arena with an emotional fullness, which was made even more profound by the thousands of voices singing along.

With a big catalog and lots of well-known songs to chose from, Tori does what not many artists do: she switches up her set from show to show. If you follow bands for multiple tour stops you know how rare this is, and I’m guessing that unless you’re super talented as a musician you wouldn’t even try to vary what you play each night. This means that if you’re following her from town to town you’re going to be rewarded with musical riches, but if you go to one show and want to hear a certain hit song that you’re totally sure she’s going to play, you might leave a little disappointed when she doesn’t because she’s done it the night before (in my case, “Pretty Good Year.”) But also, it’s impossible to leave a show with anything but glee when it ends with “Precious Things.”

The Greek Theater set included favorites like “Crucify,” “Silent All These Years,” “Little Amsterdam,” “Icicle,” “Little Earthquakes,” and “Precious Things,” plus new tracks from her latest album In Times of Dragons, and many other great songs in between. Tori was chatty between songs, and a poignant moment came when she paused to pay tribute to Dolly Parton, who had died earlier in the day, acknowledging her loss and how important she was to the world in many ways, then saying, “May she be blessed.”

It looks like Tori loves what she’s doing, and like she’s still living her music. Her Angel Witch backup singers are super talented and a perfect compliment to Tori’s voice, and their addition has allowed for some really interesting and beautiful live arrangements (“Crucify”).
