Bob Moses and Cannons with support from Oxis have wrapped their North American Afterglow tour, spending their last evening at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on July 19, 2026. The amphitheater was packed, and the drinking, picnicking fans were out in full hobnobbing force for a fun balmy evening on the town.

Oxis played a great opening set, showing off her guitar and keyboard skills while wearing an Iron Maiden guitar strap. From what I’m reading she has a fish theme going on, with moniker Oxis coming from “Auxis,” a type of tuna, and her music has been described as “marine electronica.” The Fader called her songs “quietly devastating,” and I get it, she has great vocals and a definite vibe. If I were to see her again I’d want it to be somewhere a little more intimate, and not surrounded by ten thousand people guzzling champagne and crudite-dipping while hearing her perform her great songs.

Cannons was up next while it was still daylight out, and they took the stage with confidence and ripped right into “Loving You.” A big part of the crowd was there for them, and a big part of the crowd was there to drink wine and eat hummus, but those who were genuine Cannons fans were up and dancing and thrilled that they played a full set. Cannons is from LA and are made up of Michelle Joy, Paul Davis, and Ryan Clapham, and Michelle talked about how when they started in 2014 at a small bar in Santa Clarita they wondered if anyone would show up besides friends and family, and when fans did show up, the mutual band-fan connection was strong and has stayed that way. She talked about how giving off good energy is a goal, and how the band wants fans to walk away feeling lighter. Then they kicked into “Take Me To Tokyo,” a crowd favorite and a highlight of their set. They closed out their 16 songs by saying “Los Angeles is our home and you guys are our day ones!”

Bob Moses came on after dark, and after photographing them for a truncated two songs from the 75-yards-to-stage soundboard in their dark lighting, I weaved through the vodka spritzer and pita/tapenade face stuffers to my seat and settled in for 15 songs of bliss. I’m biased, I love Bob Moses and have for a long time. Once at a party circa 2015 I played Days Gone By so much that I was asked if there was perhaps anything else to listen to.

Yes, there are lots of other things to listen to. Lots more Bob Moses now that it’s 2026 and we have more albums to choose from. And on this night, live in front of thousands, we got “Waiting On The World,” we got “Innerlight” (if you’re able to see Elderbrook live do that too), “Tearing Me Up,” “Love Brand New,” and we got a Nine Inch Nails cover of “Closer” which the crowd went bonkers for once they heard those initial synth bars.

It was clear that a lot of the picnickers at the Bowl were there for a night out on the town, maybe it didn’t matter too much who was playing, but I guarantee a lot of them left being new fans of all three bands, because there’s no way they couldn’t. It was a great night of music. They also left being new fans of that special Gelson’s dip that one friend had in her cooler bag, the one with the pimentos.
