The Italian gothic metal band Lacuna Coil brought their Sleepless Empire tour to Ace of Spades on April 8, 2026, delivering a set that felt grounded in everything they’ve built over the years while still pushing into darker, more layered territory. In California’s capital, the band leaned into the weight of Sleepless Empire— their 10^th studio album– where a heavier, more experimental sound reflects the mental fatigue and constant noise of the digital age.

At the core of the performance is the connection between co-vocalists Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro—something that doesn’t rely on theatrics, but on contrast and timing. Cristina carries a clarity in her delivery that cuts cleanly through the room, holding attention without needing to push for it.
