Justice brought their Hyperdrama tour to the Bill Graham Civic in San Francisco on May 22 in support of their 2024 album of the same name, and played two sold out nights at the 8,500 capacity crowd venue where it was doubtful a single person sat down the entire time.
The show’s production was perfectly scripted, with French bandmates Gaspard Auge and Xavier de Rosnay dead center at their decks, dynamic lights framing them as speakers pumped bass into our chests (heaven help the poor souls with no hearing protection!) The band’s lighting director could give Ted Talks on the emotional effects of light and color, as the visuals were a perfect compliment to the setlist curated for night two.
We heard “Neverender,” “D.A.N.C.E.,” “One Night All Night” and so many more brilliant hits. Everybody danced, and the vibe was immaculate the entire time, with a special warmth spreading out over the venue in a way that not all EDM shows share.
After night two in San Francisco, the band went on to play Santa Barbara, and then Red Rocks, and will continue moving through North America through June, then will hop over to Europe for the summer. If Justice plays anywhere near you, be sure to go see them for a show you’ll always remember.
