Bad Nerves brought their Still Nervous Tour to a fever pitch at August Hall in San Francisco on May 22, when the UK’s explosive punk upstarts tore through town as part of their US tour supporting their latest release, 2024’s Still Nervous. Riding high on critical acclaim and a growing global fanbase, the band brought a jolt of unfiltered energy to August Hall, delivering a performance that was equal parts chaos and precision.

Fronted by the ever-charismatic Bobby Bird (aka Bobby Nerves), and backed by guitarists William Phillipson and George Berry, bassist Jonathan Poulton, and drummer Samuel Thompson, the quintet delivered a rapid-fire set packed with grit, hooks, and pure punk voltage.

Tracks like “Radio Punk” and “Sorry” whipped the crowd into a frenzy—mosh pits erupted, voices sang back every word, and crowd-surfers soared overhead as Bobby egged them on.

August Hall’s intimate vibe and sharp acoustics proved to be the perfect venue for a show this raw and kinetic. With fewer than 1,000 people packed in, every note and every shout felt personal—and loud.

By the end of the night, there was no doubt: Bad Nerves aren’t just still nervous—they’re still rising. Their San Francisco stop was a wild, sweat-drenched highlight in a tour that’s turning heads across the States. Bay Area fans will be counting the days until their return.
