On April 3, 2025, the Georgia-born indie duo hey, nothing lit up The Independent in San Francisco with a performance that was both energetic and heartfelt. On their 33° Tour, Tyler Mabry and Harlow Phillips, each playing guitar and singing, delivered a fun and varied setlist featuring crowd favorites like “Too Drunk to Drive,” “The Sink,” “Like A Brother,” “Maine,” encore song “Hitchhiking,” Kings of Leon cover “Use Somebody,” and the tour’s namesake, “33°.”

From the moment they jumped into opener “Too Drunk to Drive,” the room blew up. The audience yelled back every lyric, and was super chatty back to Phillips when they told stories and talked to the fans. Between guitar riffs, synced harmonies, and bursts of playful onstage banter, Mabry and Phillips turned the venue into a big living room party–it was familiar, warm, and buzzing with energy.

A standout moment arrived mid-set when their drummer stepped away, leaving Mabry, Phillips, and the touring bassist to gather around a single antique microphone. With banjo and mandolin in hand, they stripped things down for an acoustic moment that felt authentic and special.

Mabry’s gritty, emotive vocals meshed with Phillips’ rich tone, an addictive combination that drew listeners deeper into the set with every song. For longtime fans and first-timers both, hey, nothing created a night of connection, spontaneity, and entertainment that was special to the crowd, many of whom had traveled to the show from far and wide.
