Adam Ant brought his Antmusic Tour to the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA on April 28th, 2024, giving a post-punk / new wave performance that was a total crowd-pleaser and a great time for everyone in the audience.

With talented bandmates Will Crewdson and AP Leach on guitars, Joe Holweger on bass, and Jola and Marc Slutsky on double drum kits, Ant began the set with “Antmusic” and as a band they made sure the seated crowd jumped up and never sat back down again.

Through the 20-song set Ant played radio friendly hits (“Viva le Rock,” “Prince Charming,” and “Stand and Deliver”) plus some deep cuts and b-sides, all to the happiness of his fans who sang along with joy.

The encore included everybody’s favorite “Goody Two Shoes” and the whole crowd yelling out “Don’t drink, don’t smoke, what do you do?” was great to witness, and finally “Physical (You’re So)” closed out the night with great energy. Adam Ant looked like he was having a fun time on stage in front of his fans, and the crowd definitely was, so it’s an easy recommendation for a great night out when the band comes to your town on tour.
