Oakland Arena transformed into ground zero of rock excitement on October 13, 2023, as Italian band Måneskin took center stage. With vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria de Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi, and drummer Ethan Torchio, Måneskin has become a global phenomenon since their victory at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.

The concert, part of their RUSH! Tour, featured an epic 21-song set that thrilled a multi generational crowd, from little kids with big cans protecting their hearing to seasoned rock vets who’ve had tinnitus since they saw AC/DC live in 1973.

Måneskin’s soaring popularity in the United States can be attributed to their chart-topping album “RUSH!” which dropped earlier in the year. This album’s diverse tracklist promised a big live experience, and Måneskin delivered.

The band’s stage presence was spectacular. They combined dazzling lights, fog, and bursts of fire, creating an electrifying ambiance. During the performance of “Gasoline,” each band member stood united, separated only by streams of fire, a great sight that added to the intensity of the moment.

Måneskin has a special ability to connect with their audience. You could feel the exchange of energy between the band and their devoted fans. As they belted out hits like “Gossip,” “Beggin’,” and “I Wanna Be Your Slave,” the crowd yelled back, singing along in both English and Italian.

Måneskin’s ascent in the U.S. music scene is pretty incredible, driven not just by luck but by their dedication to honing their craft and delivering electrifying live performances. This Italian sensation has rightfully claimed their place as one of the finest live acts of our time, and their Oakland Arena show was a testament to their rock ‘n’ roll staying power.
