Third Eye Blind

As the summer sun blazed at the Sacramento County Fair, I waited to capture photos of one of my favorite Bay Area bands, Third Eye Blind. Nostalgia filled the air as I reminisced about the late 90s and early 2000s when the radio was filled with Third Eye Blind songs. Lead singer Stephen Jenkins was in great spirits as he got bathed in choruses sung loudly by his fans.

The sun kept raining down rays as the impassioned crowd of devotees took in the 17-song setlist of old hits and new tracks. The cross-generational fans looking to reconnect with their favorite band and favorite songs sang and danced and had a great time as Jenkins and band poured their energy out onstage.

As the night continued, anticipation swelled in advance of the encore and the hits that were coming, and no one left disappointed after favorites “Semi-Charmed Life” and “How’s It Going To Be” finished the set.

The band’s magnetic stage presence and musical prowess left an indelible imprint on everyone in the crowd, solidifying this summer night as a favorite of mine and of everyone in attendance.
